"... What
Robin could only reveal is the “sacrifice” he did for Blackout which he
has never done before — put on 20 pounds.
" 'I have to look the role,' said Robin. 'For one month before the
shooting last year, I ate all the rice that I could and all the
fatty/oily food that I used to avoid, like ice-cream and cakes and
French fries — all the food na
bawal sa action star. My diet was full of carbo.
" 'Direk
Ato wanted me to have a big tummy. My weight rose from 160 lbs. to 180
lbs. I also stopped shaving. I would sleep for only two hours every
night so I would have eyebags. For days, I slept at the small house
where my character is supposed to live. I had to look dirty. Ang utos ng direktor ay
pumangit ako, kaya ginawa ko.' "
October
